Man arrested for alleged threats to kill “conservative Christian filth”

A 25-year-old Michigan man is facing federal charges after allegedly threatening violence against conservative Christians in response to former President Donald Trump winning the presidential election.

Isaac Sissel, a resident of Ann Arbor, was taken into custody on Tuesday morning and charged in federal court with making threatening communications, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Prosecutors stated that the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center in West Virginia received an anonymous online threat on November 2. The threat outlined plans for an attack, allegedly aimed at “conservative Christian filth” in the event of Trump’s election victory.

Prosecutors report that Sissel claimed to possess a stolen AR-15 semiautomatic rifle and mentioned having “a target I refuse to name so I can continue to get away with my plans.”

The threat also allegedly stated, “Without a specific victim or the ability to locate where I hid the gun, there’s nothing the FBI can do until I carry out the attack.”
