A German church was subjected to several acts of vandalism

St. Joseph Church in Schalke (Germany) has been targeted over the course of the last few weeks by a series of attacks of vandalism.

The perpetrators threw projectiles through four stained glass windows and broke a door and two gates.

This came after three burglary attempts to St. Joseph Church in the past few weeks.

A local resident commented: “Ten years ago, there were attacks on churches. This is a more recent phenomenon. Why have these attacks increased? I have no idea. There seems to be a great thrust of destroying things. This is annoying, sad and depressing.”
