Six Egyptian Christians, who had gone to Libya to find a job, were kidnapped by criminal groups, who demanded a ransom of 30 000 dollars for each of them. The Egyptian government interceded for their release.

In the week of the 6th of February, six Egyptian Christians were kidnapped in Libya, where they had gone to find a job. Contacting his cousin, one of them confirmed that they were in a ‘hell on Earth’.

The Egyptian Minister of International Affairs worked day and night to contribute to their release. On Twitter, Ahmed Abu Zeid, spokesman of the Minister, confirmed that the six Christians had been released safe and sound.
