Flickering billboards on the Cathedral of Milan
Two enormous billboards are hanging in front of the Milan Cathedral, hiding two of the sidewalls of the world-famous Gothic church.
Two years ago, I wrote about the giant Coca-Cola campaign posters, which decorated the outside of the St Stephen’s Cathedral in Wien.
This September, I came across similar advertisements on the facade of the Cathedral in Milan. Flickering billboards advertise different consumer goods at the elevator, which leads towards the cathedral dome, and at the ticket office.
