The Hungarian government will provide an additional 5.4 billion forints (17.5 million dollars) to the Hungary Helps Program to fight migration and help persecuted Christian communities and those in need.

The Hungarian government was the first to launch a support programme to help persecuted Christian communities. In the framework of this programme, more than 250 thousand people were empowered to stay in their home countries of return to them. Besides helping those in need, this programme aims to reduce migratory pressures on Europe and Hungary.

The donation will also support disadvantaged communities, rebuild educational and religious institutions, and support health care improvement.
