Relic of Saint Romain stolen from French church

A fragment of the rib of Saint Romain was stolen at the beginning of July or at the end of June in the church of Blaye.

“This is a fragment of a coast nearly 1,800 years old that belonged to Saint-Romain, a Gallo-Roman priest who lived in the 4th century. It was displayed behind the windows of a reliquary, at the back, to the right of the church of Blaye; kept in a silver case which was also stolen. All replaced by a decoy. A small piece of bone or wood,” according to the radio station France Bleu.
