Nigerian pastor abducted and murdered
A fifty-year-old pastor, Frederick Ojo Aramuwa, was found dead days after he was kidnapped from Ifira Akoko Ondo State, Nigeria. His family had paid a ransom of five thousand dollars to the abductors. Nonetheless, the pastor was killed.
“The late pastor was said to have come visiting his hometown when he was kidnapped in the company of his driver,” reported Bola Ojuola of the Daily Trust.
“He allegedly disappeared on March 31st but was later discovered to have been kidnapped a few kilometres from Ifira, his hometown, along the Ipele-Idoani- Ifira road.
The family negotiated with the kidnappers, who later agreed to liberate the pastor in exchange for a ransom, which was paid to them.
Days later, the corpse of the pastor was said to have been discovered in the bush by men of the Amotekun corps.”
