Syrian Christian, accused of apostasy was released

The man was accused of apostasy by an Islamist group. Finally, on the 1st of March, he was released without prosecution.

 

Radwan Muhammed, a Kurdish convert from Afrin to Christianity, was arrested by the pro-Turkish Syrian opposition group Faylaq al-Sham on the 30th of July and accused of apostasy. This group brings together defectors from Al Qaeda (Nusra) and the Islamic State and is used as a supplementary force by the Turkish army, which occupies part of northwestern Syria.

Finally, he was released on the 1st of March without prosecution. Before his arrest, he had worked as a school teacher.
