As we reported earlier, Nigerian pastor Fr. Valentine Ezeugu was kidnapped on the 15th of December while on his way to his father’s funeral.

He was released on the 16th of December, and his congregation announced that they thank God for the release of the priest and they would pray for the conversion of his abductors.

“We are very grateful to God who touched the hearts of the kidnappers to release our brother,” Fr. Goodluck Ajacro, Secretary-general of the Congregation of the Sons of Mary Mother of Mercy, said in a statement announcing the priest’s release on December 16th.

“We pray for the conversion of the kidnappers and all those that are engaged in various forms of crime. To God be the glory,” he continued.
