Christians attacked by gunman in New York Cathedral

New York police shot an unidentified bandit who opened fire in the Cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of St. John of God in Manhattan. The attack took place on Sunday at around 3.45 pm local time.

 

For unknown reasons, an unidentified man fired at the Cathedral. Police officers were called to the scene and shot the individual. 

The incident took place after a Christmas concert. “It was just a beautiful concert, and at the end this person started to shoot. Everyone is shocked. (…) The shooter could [have] kill many people. There were hundreds of people here, and he fired at least twenty times,” a local resident told the New York Times .

The Episcopal Diocese Cathedral in New York is over 125 years old and is one of the many temples in the world. Its construction was paid for in 1892 and is still not fully completed.
