Pakistani Christian farmer and his family attacked at home and badly beaten

Christian farmer Manzoor Masih and his family were attacked by his business rival in their own house. The attackers also fired a gun but luckily the bullet did not hit anybody. Then, he was badly beaten with a baton and his arm was broken.
In the district of Kasur, Pakistan, while Manzoor Masih was having breakfast with his family Muhammad Imran and several companions attacked his house, as reported by Nasir Sayeed at Claas.org.uk.
They forcefully entered the house and shouted “We will not spare you today!” First, Imran fired his gun but luckily the bullet missed Manzoor, then another man hit him with a baton and his arm was broken.
Manzoor fell to the floor and they kept hitting him.
It was not that they were just hitting him, but they were continuously abusing him, calling him names and abusing his religion, Christianity. They also hit and insulted his wife and children and tore the clothes of his wife and oldest daughter.
The wife and children started to cry and shout, and when the neighbours heard the cries, they went to save them from the attacks.
Because of the interference from neighbours and several other people the men were forced to leave the house but threatened that they would kill Manzoor whenever they got a chance. Manzoor was taken to the local hospital, where he was examined and treated.
Manzoor said Imran, who is of Muslim background, is his business rival and wants him to leave the orchard he has had for the past 10 years. “While the orchard is my only income, Imran wants to seize this orchard.” he revealed.
It was last month, in May, when the police have registered a case against Muhammad Imran and his companions, but so far they have failed to arrest them.
