Two Christians killed in villages in Adamawa State, Nigeria
Two Christian villages were attacked very early this morning in Adamawa State, Nigeria. The villages of Gon and Bolkin are Christian Farming villages that are part of Numan Local Government Area (LGA). They have long dealt with attacks perpetrated by Fulani militants and have suffered many deaths.
Sadly at 230 am, Tuesday, May 12, Fulani militants again raided the communities and killed at least two people. They also destroyed several homes and stole supplies from the local farmers. One of the two men killed was working to help rebuild a primary school in the area that had been destroyed in a previous attack. The other has yet to be identified.
The locals had attempted to call for military support and protection, but were unable to get any aid.
According to the Nigerian Tribune, the Adamawa State Police Command is saying that they did not receive any calls or reports of this attack. No soldiers have been sent to the area to ensure peace or protection for the villagers.
