Americans accuse Poland of “gender-based” and “racial” hatred

"The US Department of State has identified violations of human rights in Poland. One of them is the policy towards minorities," reports the Polish daily Rzeczpospolita. It is all about alleged discrimination of the so-called non-heterosexual people and "xenophobic and racist incidents."

The newspaper quotes Jarosław Kaczyński’s statement from August 2019, in which he spoke about “the rainbow attack on Polish children, culture, family and the Catholic Church”. These words found their way to the American document as an example of attacks on the so-called LGBTI community.

The US Department of State points out that such statements among Polish politicians are very common. In addition, the report emphasized that “over thirty local governments across the country have adopted declarations regarding zones free from LGBT ideology. “

Rzeczpospolita also reports that other violations of human rights in Poland are, according to the State Department, “violent crimes and threats of violence against members of ethnic minorities.”
