Boko Haram raided a village in Eastern Nigeria, leaving many casualties
It is feared that many people were killed in Kirchinga village of Adamawa State on Monday the 6th of April, International Christian Concern reported.
According to ICC, the attack was conducted by Boko Haram militants who came out of the Sambisa Forest. The location is a long time stronghold for the group, even though the government claims to have cleared the area on a number of occasions.
Locals reporting the incident to various news sources said the attackers entered the village late that night in pick-up trucks and motorcycles and started shooting people.
The locals asserted that the military responded relatively quickly and resisted the attackers before the entire town perished, ICC wrote.
