Palestinian Terror Attack Hits Jaffa
At least nine Israelis and one dog were injured in a Palestinian terror attack involving shooting in central Jaffa on Tuesday evening.
While Iran launched nearly two hundred rockets at Israel, a severe attack occurred in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district – gunmen opened fire at a tram stop on those waiting there.
Initial reports spoke of four, later reports of eight fatalities. Additionally, nine, according to other sources 17 people were injured in the attack. At least two are in critical condition.
According to the police, two gunmen – who had disembarked from the tram – were neutralized by security forces, and a further suspect is still at large.
The Jerusalem Post identified the two killed terrorists as Muhammad Khalaf Sahar Rajab and Hasan Muhammad Hasan Tamimi, who traveled from Hebron in the West Bank to Tel Aviv. According to eyewitness reports, before they opened fire, the gunmen were heard shouting “Allahu Akbar.”
The incident has been classified as a terror attack. The attackers were not Israeli citizens.
