Kidnapped Pakistani Christian girl forced to marry
A seventeen-year-old Christian girl was kidnapped, forcefully converted and married to a Muslim man in Gujranwala, Pakistan.
On the 9th of April, a seventeen-year-old named Nimra, a resident of Badoki District Gujranwala, Pakistan, was on her way to her uncle’s home when four Muslim men attacked her. They kidnapped her by dragging her inside their van. Later, they forced the girl to convert to Islam and later married her to one of them.
At first, the police, referring to the marriage certificate, refused to file a report against the kidnappers. Later, due to the insistence of a lawyer, the complaint was accepted. The kidnappers are still at large, however, having taken the girl hostage with them.
The case will now go to court where the girl’s fate will depend on the judge’s decision.
Nimra is not alone in such a situation. Christian girls are kidnapped and forced to marry Muslim men every day.
