Armed men have been reported in a French church
On the 10th of February, a member of the faithful reported the presence of three armed men in a church in Orvault, France.
The case was reported at about 3 PM, from the Saint-Léger church, in downtown Orvault. The parish priest conveyed the report to the police.
The church does not have video surveillance, but the town of Orvault does have public ones. An investigation has been started.
This type of report is not surprising in the neighbourhood of Nantes, which has experienced ten shootings since the start of the year, thirty-five in 2020 and sixty-nine in 2019, sixty-five of which were then linked to gang wars, according to the regional media Breizh-Info. Nevertheless, even if in Nantes the gangs frequently exchange gunfire, there are relatively few deaths. There were three in 2019, none in 2020 and one since the beginning of 2021.
