Another church set on fire in France: this time it was the Cathedral of Rennes
The Rennes fire department was informed in the early hours of the morning of the 11th of June that the Cathedral of Rennes had caught fire.
The fire that started on Friday at 1:45 am was caused by rubbish that had been set alight and then pushed against a side door of the church. Due to the prompt arrival of city firefighters, the blaze was brought under control before the flames could cause serious damage to the building.
Police investigating the cause of the fire, have confirmed that the blaze was started maliciously; the perpetrators have yet to be found.
