House of provincial Christian MEP attacked by armed men

According to local reports, the house of an MEP in Punjab Province was attacked at the end of April by gunmen who arrived to the scene on motorcycles.

On 29th of April, four unidentified motorcyclists open fire on the home of Khalil Tahir Sindu, a former Christian member of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, International Christian Concern reported.

The parliamentarian has spoken many times in support of religious minorities and he claims that this could have been the motivation behind the attack.

“CCTV cameras show that four unidentified attackers open gunfire at my house between 10:15 and 10:20 pm. However, these attacks will never separate me from my community,” he told local media.

According to him, this was not the first attack. He believes the motorcyclists are linked to the previous attacks because of his vocal support in defence of religious minorities and Christians.
