Christian persecution has been rising in the last decades

In recent decades, the world has witnessed a concerning trend: the escalation of persecution against Christians in various parts of the globe.

While religious intolerance and discrimination have plagued societies for centuries, the severity and frequency of attacks against Christians have increased significantly in the modern era. This disturbing phenomenon demands attention and action from the international community to safeguard religious freedom and human rights for all individuals.

The persecution of Christians manifests in various forms, including violence, discrimination, legal restrictions, and social marginalization. In many regions, Christians face targeted attacks on their communities, places of worship, and even their lives. Extremist groups, ideological conflicts, and state-sponsored oppression contribute to this pervasive threat to religious liberty.

One of the most concerning aspects of the persecution of Christians is its global reach. While certain regions, such as the Middle East, have historically been hotspots for religious persecution, the problem has spread to other parts of the world. In Asia, for example, countries like China and North Korea enforce strict regulations on Christian activities, including church gatherings and evangelism. In Africa, Christians are targeted by extremist groups like Boko Haram in Nigeria and Al-Shabaab in Somalia, leading to mass displacement and loss of life.
