A statue of Christ vandalized in Poland

On the night of November 7, vandals shattered a statue of Christ on the missionary cross in front of the church in Tarnów-Klikowa (Poland) into small fragments, with the statue's head also being stolen.

The parish priest and church members believe this act of desecration was intentional. The fibreglass statue was almost entirely destroyed, leaving only Jesus’ hand, still attached to the cross by a nail.

Local police have launched an investigation into the incident.

“After the police completed their work, we gathered the pieces of the broken figure, but the head of Jesus was missing. It appears that whoever vandalized the crucifix either took it or discarded it elsewhere,” stated Father Wiszniewski.
