A church and a chapel vandalised in Italy

On the night of the 21st of August, unidentified individuals ransacked the church at the Sirena cemetery in Serina, Bergamo, and vandalized five private chapels.

Pews, religious items, flower pots, candles, and glass were scattered and partially destroyed. The cemetery’s church, traditionally used as a burial site for priests, was also targeted.

The parish has lodged a formal complaint with the local police against unknown perpetrators.
