French church smeared with satanic graffiti
On Saturday the 20th of July, vandals defaced the façade of the Saint-Paul church in Orne, France, with satanic graffiti during the night.
The tags included inverted crosses, pentagrams, and phrases such as ‘False God,’ ‘Liar,’ and the number ‘666,’ symbolizing the devil. The statues on the façade were also sprayed with red paint, further compounding the damage.
Marie Gobert, deputy mayor of Saint-Paul, expressed her shock at this unprecedented act. “This is the first time something like this has happened in the commune,” she stated, emphasizing the profound impact on the residents: “We know what these symbols mean; it’s frightening.”
A parishioner shared the community’s distress: “We are all turned upside down. It’s very unpleasant when you understand the meaning of these signs. These symbols are not a joke. We wonder who could do this.”
