The African Forum for Religious and Spiritual Liberty (AFRSL), seems to be an organization having the potential to make a change for the better in the case of religious freedom in the continent.

The new organization’s main goal to protect the freedom of religion in the African continent. The organization is born by the example of Forum of religious Freedom-Europe (FOREF) and plans to keep a tight cooperation with it. The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding as well.

The founding ceremony was attended by representatives of many churches, religious organizations, governmental institutions, politicians and even by South African royalties.
