An Orthodox priest was assaulted in Jerusalem

Holy

The Times of Israel reports on the increase in attacks against Christians in Israel and particularly in the Old City of Jerusalem by Zionist militants. And in particular the attack on an elderly Orthodox priest on 28 March.

“Not all incidents make headlines either. Father Matthew, secretary to the Greek Orthodox Patriarch Theophilus III, tells The Times of Israel that last Tuesday, a disabled priest who slowly and with difficulty was coming out of the monastery, was spit on by two young religious Jews. When another priest intervened, they pulled up their shirts, revealing two tear gas canisters.

According to Father Matthew, they were arrested by the police who quickly released them.

Jerusalem police told The Times of Israel they had no knowledge of the incident. She demanded additional details about the latter.
