Nazi symbols smeared on French basilica in Argenteuil

On January 27, a swastika was tagged upside down on an exterior wall of the Argenteuil basilica , on the day of commemoration of the dead of the deportation of Jews during the Second World War.

The Actu 17 website specifies that shortly before this tag, a man burst into the church during a funeral shouting “Allah Akbar”. The tag could be his work.

Churches in the town have already been the target of anti-Christian acts: on the night of September 10 to 11, the Notre Dame de Lourdes church was robbed.

In 2016, anarchist posters calling for the burning of churches were also glued on several walls.
