Protestant cemetery vandalised in DRC
On the night of the 30th of September, armed men attacked the cemetery of a protestant mission in Mukubungu, the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The vandals destroyed graves where Swedish missionaries were buried.
In addition, the previous week, Mgr Fulgence Muteba, Archbishop of Lubumbashi, had denounced vandalism in Catholic places of worship under his jurisdiction, and in particular the theft of statues of the Blessed Virgin and other sacred objects.
