Meet courageous Christians via Open Doors
Over 260 million Christians are persecuted for their faith around the world. Open Doors UK created a blog to present Christians, who are following Jesus despite enormous opposition, or raising support and awareness for the persecuted church.
The blog of Open Doors tells the story of people from the Middle-East, from the Far-East, from Africa, from Oceania, and even from the United Kingdom. The members of this latter group do not suffer from persecution but are raising money to support their brothers and sisters in Christ.
Among the people mentioned, we can read about Rose, a Nigerian widow. “Rose lost her husband. Then she lost her livelihood. But she hasn’t lost her faith in God. Fulani militants and Covid-19 have taken so much from Rose – but your prayers and support are giving back [hope]”, Open Doors writes.
Through the portal, we can also get to know the story of Eun Hye, a woman, who managed to escape from North Korea. This brave woman had escaped detention camps twice before leaving the country.
Fortunately, there are also many people, who try to help these Christians in difficult situations. Ella and Mike are two young adults from the UK, who are raising money to support their brothers and sisters in Christ.
