Vatican museums will open to the public on the 1st of June

From the 1st of June it will be possible for tourists to visit the Vatican museums and Papal estates in Castel Gandolfo while maintaining safety standards.

 

People wishing to enter the museums will be subjected to body temperature control and will have to be equipped with protective masks. Traditional free entries on the last Sunday of the month are suspended for now.

Prior booking on the official website of the Vatican museums will be obligatory. The Papal Collections will be available from Monday to Friday.

In addition to the offer of visits to the museums, there will be a new proposal for a tour of the Vatican gardens on an open bus.

The Papal residence and gardens at Castel Gandolfo will also be available. Tourists will be able to admire them only on Saturdays and Sundays from. The first day of sightseeing is scheduled for the 6th of June.
