According to what can be read on Leigh Finke’s website, both books are meant to aid the vulnerable queer youth—in families, communities, and churches in every corner of America—who face fear and uncertainty about the “intersection of their queerness and their faith”.

“I wanted to make a book for youth because there is so much I believe queer Christian teenagers need to know. They need to know they’re not alone. They need to know their queerness is compatible with their faith” the author explains on his website. 

“They [queer Christians] need to know that they are beloved children of God, not in spite of their queerness, but because of it. (…) Being queer is an incredible gift, and I hope this book can begin to lead young people to accept that fact.”

“Queerfully and Wonderfully Made” and “Welcoming and Affirming” will be available on August 25, 2020.
