Left wing extremists attacked a group of students in Vienna

A group of around two hundred activists from Antifa and other far left organizations gathered in front of a lecture hall at the University of Vienna, in which the historian Lothar Höbelt was to deliver a lecture. The troublemakers refused to let Mr. Höbelt inside and attacked physically the students waiting for him.

Lothar Höbelt is a professor of modern history at the University of Vienna. He is mainly known for his support of the Austrian right wing FPÖ.

“Today’s attack is just the tip of the iceberg. Finally, we expect consistency from the University of Vienna and we hope that the perpetrators will be held accountable, “said the Student Freedom Circle, which organized the lecture.

This kind of violent censorship is also taking place in Germany. Last year, riots were initiated several times at the University of Hamburg. Last year, one of the founders of the right wing party Alternative for Germany – Bernd Lucke faced similar troubles in Hamburg. His lecture could only take place after the university halls were secured by the police.
