Fortnight Madness

Fortnight Madness aims to choose some astonishing news from recent times which adequately indicate that certain ideas of liberalism and the complete lack of conservative values have already caused some serious expressions in Western society. Depending on their absurdity, these stories may be ridiculous or sad at the same time, - we leave it up to our readers to decide which way they feel like reacting.

Ladies! Your headscarf, your choice!

good luck!

Austria’s new left-leaning president, Alexander Van der Bellen, who described himself as a liberal positioned politician, has suggested that one day all women must wear headscarves to fight Islamophobia.

During a talk to students, Van der Bellen said that whilst he believes a woman should wear whatever she wants, if Austria’s “rampant Islamophobia continues,

”there will come a day when we must ask all women to wear a headscarf – all of them! – out of solidarity towards those who do it for religious reasons.”

Van der Bellen was sworn in as president of the country in January 2019.

Best of luck, sweet Austria!

Messed up the pill? Pay for the bill!

poor Doc

It happened in February 2016 that when Bianca Coons and Cristobal Ruiz discovered they were expecting their third child, they travelled from Idaho to the Planned Parenthood in Albuquerque, USA.

The abortion clinic had offered them a medication that procured an abortion. Coons had taken one pill at the clinic and one a day later. But when Coons checked into a local emergency room back in Boise, Idaho, the physicians there told the dismayed mother that her baby was perfectly healthy despite having taken the first pill.

The Planned Parenthood staff advised her to take the second pill anyway. Perhaps that would kill the baby. But no such luck: Coons’ son was a fighter, and he was still alive and well despite the best efforts of his parents and the abortion clinic staff. Coons and Ruiz felt betrayed. This, after all, was not what they had paid for.

And so Coons reluctantly gave birth, and their little son is now two-years-old.

Why we get to know all this is because Coons and Ruiz are now suing Planned Parenthood for failing to abort their baby boy, demanding that the abortion organisation pay for the cost of raising him because “medical negligence” resulted in him being born alive in the first place.

Additionally, they are suing for breach of contract, and the couple is now suing Planned Parenthood for $765,000 for the cost of raising “an additional unplanned child.”

According to left-wing liberals, No-go zones do not exist! – but surely do for UPS service

no go zones

One area from now on that currently does not receive packages is the multicultural district of Rosengård in Malmö, South Sweden. UPS confirms that they no longer deliver to the area because the risk of being subjected to robbery and other crimes is too high.

“Our drivers have been frequently attacked and we have therefore decided not to distribute packages in Rosengård,” says a customer service employee.

The decision was made two months ago. Similar stops have been introduced in areas in Stockholm. And according to UPS, the new terms will remain in place as long as drivers are at risk of being attacked. Now, considering the fact that Scandinavia once used to be one of the safest places in the world, where some prisons had to close for the lack of prisoners – this current predicament can give you food for thought.

You better watch out, better not pout – New migrants are coming to town

New Kids on the block

Klaus Roth is a 74-old senior social worker who helped with Germany’s huge migrant influx in 2015. Roth also has trouble moving after two inter-vertebral disc surgeries. Well, that is no excuse from being evicted if new migrants come to town.

The local council has reportedly decided to house the migrants in Roth’s flat, Mayor Gerhard Gertitschke said in an interview for Nürtinger Zeitung. In order to allow that, Roth must move to an apartment half as big the one he has lived in for decades.

The senior German does not understand the municipality’s demands. “I put a lot of money and work into the apartment. I renovated it from scratch all by myself,” he told Zeitung in despair. He has lived in this flat for 24 years and has worked in the area.

There is not much however he can do because a 1990s’ court ruling allows German municipalities to evict tenants to accommodate refugees if other options are exhausted.

Is this the way to deal with an old man who spent much of his life helping others?
